Air-Lok Spray Foam Insulation is a participating member of the Hydro Power Smart
Program.
Your home may qualify if :
- You are the homeowner and the home has an active Manitoba Hydro account.
- it is your principal residence or your tenant’s principal residence.
Projects that will not be accepted for this program include :
- homes under construction
- unoccupied homes
- summer homes or cottages
- apartment buildings
- homes built in 1999 or later
- attached garages
- outbuildings
Power Smart insulation requirements
Attics
- Existing insulation must be R-30 or less
- Insulate to R-50
- Flat or cathedral ceilings to be insulated to R-28
- A minimum of 100 sq ft must be insulated
- Projects that include replacement of existing insulation are only eligible for
the additional R-value added.
Basement Walls
- Insulate to R-24
- A minimum of 100 sq ft must be installed
- Projects to replace existing insulation are not eligible
Crawlspace
- Insulate to a minimum of R-10
- A minimum of 100 sq ft must be insulated
- Projects that include replacement of existing insulation are only eligible for
the additional R-value added.
